Director of Operations
Scott started his career path focused on business and marketing management, but quickly found himself in the position of Internet advocate. An early adopter of web technologies, his involvement in Internet-based marketing began in 1996. Working with a small start-up, he initially developed websites for small and medium business, transitioning them from strictly brick-and-mortar, to the then new digital marketplace. But his exposure to the infrastructure that ran the Internet soon piqued his curiosity, and he pivoted his career to network management and operations.
This career change soon saw him leading Information Technology departments for a wide variety of businesses, from transportation to entertainment. His recent experience with a billion-dollar global shipping company had him leading the team that managed the complete computer infrastructure in 12 offices across 7 countries.
Today, Scott has returned to his business and marketing management roots, bringing his global infrastructure management experience, and trans-media marketing experience, to SaaS-based time and attendance software developer, VeriClock. As their Director of Operations, Scott has been challenged to evolve their business strategy, to find new sources of revenue, and to ensure VeriClock’s brand image is second to none in its market space.
When Scott isn’t focused on elevating VeriClock’s brand, he is often elevating his truck to new heights in BC’s backroads. Co-coordinator of the annual Moose Trophy Overland Rally, Scott assists the Rally founder with route planning, logistics, and event operations for a multi-day 4x4 off-road event that takes in hard-to-reach spots throughout Southern BC.
